Senior management
The senior management team at PST consists of the Director General of The Norwegian Police Security Service, Deputy Director General, five heads of department and a director of information. The team heads all of PST’s activities from PST Headquarters in Oslo. Several of these posts are for a specified term of years. The posts are filled for six-year periods, cf. section 19 of the Police Act.
Janne Kristiansen
Director General
Ms Janne Kristiansen was appointed as Director General of The Norwegian Police Security Service for a term of six years by the King in Council in September 2009.

Roger Berg
Deputy Director General
Mr Roger Berg deputises for the Director General of The Norwegian Police Security Service. Mr Berg also heads the Security Department at the Headquarters. Mr Berg has completed police training.

Trond Hugubakken
Head of Information
Mr Trond Hugubakken heads the Information Unit at the PST Headquarters, and is responsible for PST's internal communications and public relations.

Maria Collett Sælør
Head of Department
Ms Maria Collett Sælør heads the Investigation and Legal Department at the Headquarters. She is a lawyer, and has prosecuting powers by the virtue of her office. |

Tore Risberget
Head of Department
Mr Tore Risberget heads the Operational Department at the Headquarters. Mr Risberget has completed police training.

Jon Fitje
Head of Department
Mr Jon Fitje is a political science graduate and heads the Analysis and Emergency Planning Department at the Headquarters.

Kari Omholt
Head of Department
Ms Kari Omholt heads the Facilities Department at the Headquarters. Ms Omholt has completed police training.
