PST’s activities involve both operational policing (prevention and investigation of violation of the law, and the dignitary protection service) and providing security advice to Norwegian authorities having the same rank as PST or a higher rank.
The Norwegian Parliament, Ministry of Justice and the prosecuting authority to whom we report (The Director General of Public Prosecutions and Public Prosecutors’ Offices) provide the framework for the way we carry out our policing duties.
