Periodic threat assessments are prepared so as to give a comprehensive picture of threats over a defined period.
Annual threat assessments
At the end of each year, we prepare a classified threat assessment for the year ahead. The threat assessment is sent to the Ministry of Justice who uses it to decide which areas PST should give the highest priority in the coming year.
Other periodic threat assessments
Threat assessments are also prepared with a more short-term perspective, as the basis for decisions on the priorities and security measures of other public authorities. These threat assessments will in practice also invariably be classified.
